Especially now, we feel it's important to regularly connect with other believers for encouragement and care. Below are our current Small Groups. You can sign up through the Sunday morning Connect Card, our Small Group Sign-up form, by contacting our Director of Adult Small Groups, Troy Stoneking, or contact one of the group leaders directly.
Let’s do this together, Church!
Mondays at 6:30PM via Zoom - Dave and Nora Zaring are leading The Truth Project. “The Truth Project is a ground-breaking small group curriculum on the Biblical worldview. This video-based home Bible study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Join Dr. Del Tackett, as he takes you through 13 engaging video lessons on the relevance and importance of living the Biblical worldview in daily life, featuring insights from biblical experts like Ravi Zacharias, R.C. Sproul, Os Guinness and Gordon Pennington.”
Tuesday evenings at 6:30PM via Zoom - Chad Cooper is teaching Who Needs God? by Andy Stanley. “Many people believe religion is the cause of the world's problems rather than a solution. In this 6-part video series, Andy Stanley addresses this tension and sets a foundation for faith that will stand up to the rigors of the real world. Each video runs approximately 40 minutes.” Participants will watch the videos at their own convenience during the week and engage with discussion questions during class time.
Tuesday afternoons from 1:30-2:10PM at Celia’s apartment in Bloomington OR Thursdays from 7:30-8:10PM via Zoom - Celia Vineyard is offering Gentle & Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners & Sufferers by Dane Ortlund. “Dive deep into Matthew 11:28-30 and the Lord’s love for you.” The in-person option has a maximum of four students and masks will be worn.
Thursdays at 6:30PM at PoC|Mahomet - Pastor Lisa and Mark Alvis are offering What On Earth Are You Here For? by Rick Warren. “This is more than a book; it is a guide to a 40-day spiritual journey that will enable you to discover the answer to life’s most important question: What on earth am I here for? By the end of this journey, you will know God’s purpose for your life and will understand the big picture-how all the pieces of your life fit together. Having this perspective will reduce your stress, simplify your decisions, increase your satisfaction, and, most importantly, prepare you for eternity.” Mask and social distancing guidelines will follow PoC standards.
Fridays at 5:30AM via Zoom - Troy Stoneking is offering Peace in the Morning: The Secret to Having God’s Peace All Day Long. “This very interactive process combines selected scriptures with small group activities and consistent, simple practices to accept and enjoy the gift of Jesus’ peace in your everyday life. If you want more peace, Jesus is ready to share His with you.” Feel free to not wear makeup, use a hat to cover your bedhead, and pre-class showering is not required.
